I taught 2nd grade for 16 years at Chickasaw Elementary, but now I am going into my 3rd year of being the school Librarian! I absolutely love getting to know all of our precious 2nd and 3rd grade students. I attended Eastern Washington University in Washington State. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Reading and a minor in Early Childhood Education in December of 2004. I moved to Mississippi about a week after I graduated to be closer to my parents who live in Olive Branch. In May 2012 I graduated from Arkansas State University and earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Education focusing on Curriculum and Instruction. I have had an endorsement on my license for Library Media Specialist since 2014. This is going to be a great year in the Library!

I've been married to my husband Joe Lawrence for 18 years October 1, 2022. My husband is a Master Sergeant in the Tennessee Air National Guard. We have a 14 year old daughter, Madison, and a 10 year old son, Bentley. For fun we love to watch Madison in the OBHS Marching Band and play softball on the OBHS softball team. We love watching Bentley learn and grow every year and experience new things in his life. We love to play at the park and tailgate during football season at my grandpa's farm with the family. I love to crochet, bake, read, and color.
