Bio
I love to teach younger children and watch them grow! It is such a privilege. I live in Olive Branch and have two children in DeSoto County Schools: a 9th grader and a 6th grader. My oldest, formerly at Center Hill High School, is now a Senior at the Mississippi School For Mathematics and Science. I also have 2 cats: one regular and one Big Fat Cat.

Classworks This is the remedial reading site that goes with the NWEA-MAP tests the kids take three times per year. It identifies and focuses on the areas where they need help.
Raz Kids is a great reading resource that is free for the rest of the school year.
No Red Ink has expanded its free resources for growing writers during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Jordan Chickasaw YouTube channel I started a YouTube channel with read alouds. We'll see how it goes!

IEP and ESY meetings will begin after Spring Break. As you know, we are required to evaluate every child every year for Extended School Year services, as well as provide a new Individualized Education Plan for the coming school year. I prefer to do both of these meetings at the same time to make it more convenient for both of us. Please email me ASAP with your preferred dates and times for meetings. All ESY meetings must be completed by April 15th.
First Semester Report cardsReport cards for the 2nd 9 weeks went home on 4 January. IEP goal sheets showing progress were also sent home in a separate Jordan folder. Please sign the signature page for the 2nd 9 weeks and return in the Jordan folder. Thank you and Happy New Year!
